Testimonials

I can't say enough good things about Clear Blue Sea Services. I wouldn't trust my boat to any other dive company. You are a good man, Charles.

Charles is an exceptional diver with experience on bigger boats. He helped tighten 4" shaft locknuts after we picked up a stay line somewhere in St Augustine harbor. Highly recommended.

These guys are straight up professionals Charles and Shaun arrived at the boat and I was advised with unpredictable current it wasn’t possible to do the complete scrape down and prop change out on my catamaran but was able to do saildrives and clean current props. Prompt and professional and got right to it no mucking about. If you need hands and eyes on your underside these are your people !!!

Charles does an exceptional job and is very reliable. His prices are reasonable, and he provides before/after photos/videos at no extra charge.

And, we even share negative reviews:
Service was prompt and Charles was accommodating. We were on a schedule, and he did not have Keel Cooler anodes in stock, so he had them delivered overnight at a cost of $50. This was expected and appreciated. I also expected the $180 hull cleaning price, but I didn't question the remaining costs. Be sure to read and itemize your costs in advance of service. The cost for a hull clean and zincs changed on our 44' sailboat amounted to $638. One of our anodes were "spent" per Brandon, who was very nice. But, we saw no photos, nor were we allowed to see any of the other anodes that were not completely spent. They replaced 4 Keel Cooler, 1.25" shaft, 70mm Max Prop, 2 side power, and 1/2 of a paired R2A (weed shoe) anodes. As my home port hull cleaner normally changes mine at nominal cost as needed I don't carry them. I have now ordered them to have on hand. The up-charge on anodes was close to 250% of what I paid previously. Charge to change each anode was $15 ($60 to change the recently installed Keel Coolers (4 screws within reach of each other). Seemed excessive to me, but I am not from around here.

We’ve used them twice so far and have had very positive experiences each time. The hull is cleaned and scrapped free of algae & barnacles. The diver is professional and friendly. They always check the zincs and make you aware of any anomalies they may find as they’re under the boat. We will use them again soon.

We had a great experience with Clear Blue Sea Services. Charles is a very friendly, chill, honest, reliable and knowledgeable person. You can tell he has been doing this for many, many years. He accepted to come clean our hull while we were anchored, in not ideal conditions (a lot of current and swell/chop). We have no doubt he's done a fantastic job. Added bonus, his rates are great. We highly recommend Clear Blue Sea Services. * (One day later...): Just had our favorite diver come back to our boat today as our anchor was stuck when we were trying to leave. He did not hesitate to come help on a Sunday. Our anchor was pretty tangled up and he did an AMAZING job freeing it. Charles sure knows what he is doing. You need no other diver. Call him.

I hadn't had a bottom job for seven years, but Clear Blue Seas was faithful about my monthly clean and scrape. When I finally got hauled for bottom painting, there was hardly anything for the pressure washer.

We are a commercial company out of St Augustine, we have been using Clear Blue for several years, Charles is always very friendly easy to work with and does a fantastic job! Would highly recommend!

Did a great job cleaning the bottom of our boat in St Augustine on the mooring ball. They are dedicated. Even came out on Easter Sunday to get us cleaned up before our trip north the following day. Great service!
--Scott Thompson
Charles did two jobs for me. One was hull cleaning. He shows up when he says he will and reports on bottom condition when he is done. The second job he went up the mast to replace a TV antenna. Again, showing up when he said he would. Also did a cursory rig inspection while he was up there which was much appreciated. If you’re in the area he’s a good resource to have in your back pocket. Prices are reasonable for the industry. I highly recommended.

They have always done an excellent job for us: friendly, on time, thorough cleaning, inspection, and replacement of zincs.
